There has never been a good lacrosse video game, so we made one. Top Cheddar is field, Sixes and box lacrosse in 8-bit pixels, built for a phone held sideways. "Top cheddar" is what players call a shot into the top corner of the cage.
Run with the left thumb. Pass, dodge and shoot with the right. Hold SHOOT to slow time, slide to a corner of the cage and release. A PLAY button calls the set, a ringed teammate is always the pass target, and name tags show who is open.
Win the clamp with a reaction tap, win the battle with a mash, then pick your exit lane before the countdown ends. Lose the battle and you can still READ HIS EXIT to turn it into a ground ball.
The big shots cut to your view from the crease. Read the windup, react, make the save. Choose clutch moments only or every shot.
Full-field clears and rides, line changes with fatigue, play calls, and a man or zone defense you set once and adjust from the pause menu.
Five a side in an indoor rink, with the lights changing every quarter. Big hits and knockdowns; dirty hits draw penalties, and penalties bring power plays and penalty kills. Score or hit enough and a player heats up, then catches fire. After a big hit you can drop the gloves: one thumb per fist, cartoon style, no blood, and FIGHTS can be switched off in Settings. The Box goalie POV has the shooter running in at you, and the Box shootout is a 1v1 from centre with a DEKE button.
The Olympic format: 5 v 5 plus goalies on the short field, a shot clock, no faceoffs after goals. Quick Game Sixes features 21 European Sixes nations, each with its own flag and kits. Online Sixes is 5 v 5 against another person with your own lineup of player cards. Packs are free.
Start near the bottom of the club league and climb three tiers, with promotion and relegation every season. Re-sign, draft and bid in free agency under a salary cap. Hire staff, build facilities and train your units in the Gym. Schedules, standings, playoff brackets, league leaders and end-of-season awards for every tier. Play any game yourself or sim the week.
